Grinchmas ACTORS (Male and Female):

  • Please prepare a 20 second introduction as a Grinchmas character (either the Grinch or a Who-ville Townsperson).
  • Stilt Walking skills a plus.
  • Tumbling skills a plus.
  • Must be available to attend callbacks on Thursday, August 24th
  • Stilt Walking performers must be available to attend callbacks on Monday, August 28th.

Who Doll Dancers (Female):

  • Please come prepared to learn choreography.
  • Intermediate to advanced levels of dance experience preferred.
  • Tumbling skills a plus.
  • Must be available to attend callbacks in an afternoon session.

Notes for all roles:

  • A current headshot and resume is preferred.
  • Performances are outdoors, on concrete, approximately 6 times per day.
  • Women, please wear Character Heels.

All auditions are by appointment only.

All performers hired for these positions will be covered under the terms and conditions of a collective bargaining agreement with the American Guild of Variety Artists (AGVA).

  • Must be 18+ years old, and be able to provide proof of eligibility to work within the United States.

Breakdown and Details for Who Doll Dancers

All must be strong musical theater actors and performers and be willing and able to wear makeup which may include a prosthetics nose, wig, and/or contact lenses. Please wear Character heels for the audition.

Who Doll

Female/ Intermediate to Advanced Dance Ability/ 5’5” and Taller

Classic chorus girl type.  

Additional Notes for Who Doll Dancers

 Cast performs a 5 min. dance routine outdoors in a variety of weather elements, on concrete, followed by a 30 minute meet and greet with guests six times a day. Type out audition may apply.

You must be available for all rehearsals and performance dates listed on the availability calendar distributed at auditions. Training and fittings will start approximately mid-November with performances starting approximately early-December running through the beginning of January.

Male/ Strong Character Actor/ 5’10”-6’1”/ 140-180 lbs.

Surly and Snarky with a heart of gold. Wears full body costume.

Mayor Who

Male/ Strong Actor/ Regal and Commanding/ 5’10” and Taller

Grand Marshall of Wholiday festivities. Distinguished with a childlike air.

Martha May Who

Female/ Strong Actress/ 5’6” and Taller

Beautiful in an elegant, high society way. Makes sure every bulb is in place, and every stocking is hung with care.

Cindy Lou Who

Female/ Strong Actress/ Small in Stature and Height/ 4’10”-5’3”

Cheery and optimistic with a love for all.
