The Discover A Star Foundation is Universal Studios Hollywood's philanthropic division committed to helping the local community by providing grants to deserving organizations whose initiatives target children's health and well-being and homeless intervention.
Originally founded in 1993 as a college scholarship program for graduating high school seniors, Discover A Star redefined its mission in 2004 to provide financial assistance to neighboring nonprofit groups linked to the Foundation's newly prescribed mission.
To date, Discover A Star has provided financial assistance to more than 40 non-profit organizations.
