CHARACTER BREAKDOWNS and REQUIREMENTS:
Female Dancers (APRIL 14)
Seeking energetic and engaging performers with intermediate to advanced levels of dance experience for a Rockette-like dance element.
Must be 55 or taller, trim and fit.
Theme park and/or guest interaction experience preferred. Cast performs a 5 minute dance routine outdoors, on concrete, followed by a 30 minute meet and greet with park guests, 6 times a day.
Prepare:
Please bring/wear dance heels and form fitting clothing. Be prepared to dance. Type out audition will apply.
Cartoon Characters (APRIL 21)
Seeking energetic male and female performers who enjoy entertaining and interacting with guests to play various body suit roles.
Height range(s): 411 to 52 or 56 to 62
Job requires physical exertion and working outdoors in full-body costume and full head mask. Also, seeking performers able to dance in full-body costume.
Prepare:
Be prepared to move. Dancing roles will learn and perform a dance routine. Type out audition will apply.
Face Characters (APRIL 21)
Seeking performers who bear a strong physical and vocal likeness to a specific face character/celebrity look-a-like. Performers who enjoy entertaining and interacting with guests preferred.
Lucy Ricardo (female character) Height range: 56 to 58
Marilyn Monroe (female character) Height range: 54 to 57
Performances are outdoors, on concrete, up to 7 times a day and approximately 35 minutes in length.
Prepare:
Please prepare a brief introduction as the character. A type out audition will apply.
Improv Performers / Actors (APRIL 22)
Seeking high energy performers for Atmosphere Improv as well as the Special Effects Stage Show. Performers with strong comedic timing, stage presence, and guest interaction experience preferred.
Roles:
Atmosphere - Improv
- British Palace Guard/Bobby Male performer who can interact with and entertain guests while speaking in a British accent for a sustained period of time.
- Dino Chasers Male and female performers portraying paleontologists who have strong story telling abilities and guest interaction experience.
- NY Windows - A diverse group of male and female performers portraying New York locals, who can interact with and entertain guests while speaking in a New York accent for a sustained period of time.
- French Cop –Male performer who can interact with and entertain guests while speaking in a French accent for a sustained period of time. Fluency in French a plus.
- Donkey Puppeteers Seeking performers who can impersonate the Donkeys voice from the famous Shrek movies. Must be able to impersonate Donkeys voice while working a puppet.
Special Effects Stage - Actors
- Host 1 Personable and witty. Mature-minded, but not stodgy. Prefers the analog world to the digital one. In his/her opinion, the best things in life stand the test of time.
- Host 2 Likeable hipster, connected, wired, but not trendy nor hip. Socially networked organically, as a natural extension of his/her persona, not obtrusively or obnoxiously. In his/her opinion, the best things in life are cutting edge.
Host 1 and 2 roles require acting and improvisational skills. Should have strong stage-presence; audience interaction experience a plus.
- Host 3 Male actor (Height: 57- 60 Weight 140 195 lbs.) Athletic performer with strong comedic timing and physicality. Personable and genuine. Improvisational skills a plus. Type out audition will apply.
Prepare (Improv and SES Actors):
Prepare a one minute comedic monologue. Also, be prepared to speak in all dialects you are auditioning for. You will audition once for all Improv roles. Sides will be provided for some roles at the audition, and call backs.

- All auditions will be held at Wizards Theater on CityWalk.
100 Universal City Plaza, Universal City CA 91608. - Parking - Enter on Lankershim and provide this information to the parking attendant for complimentary parking. Wizards Theater is located on the second level of CityWalk, above Abercrombie and Fitch.
- Please bring a current picture and resume for each audition you attend.
- Selected candidates must be available for callbacks on Monday, April 23rd
- Availability is a factor when casting. Candidates must be available for training, rehearsals, and summer peak dates as listed on the availability calendar distributed at the audition. Training and Rehearsals are approximately late April and early May. Performances begin early June through early September.
- Theme park and/or guest interaction experience preferred.

All performers hired for these positions will be covered under the terms and conditions of a collective bargaining agreement with the American Guild of Variety Artists (AGVA).
