Take a peek at all the fun you can have with your Power-Up Band™. To collect coins, always use the hand wearing the Power-Up Band™ to hit the ? Blocks. Please do not hit the ? Blocks with the Power-Up Band™ itself.
Where To Purchase
You can purchase your Power-Up Band™ at a variety of retail locations at Universal Studios Hollywood and in SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™.
Setting Up Your Band
- Purchase your Power-Up Band™ themed to one of six characters and you'll join that character's team as you compete throughout the land: Mario, Luigi, Toad, Yoshi, Princess Peach, or Princess Daisy.
- Open the Universal Studios Hollywood app and create your account. If you don't yet have the app, download it here.
- Scan the QR code on the back of the Power-Up Band using the Universal Studios Hollywood app to begin!
Note:
- No assembly required.
- Use Power-Up Band™ only as intended – misuse may damage band function or appearance.
- Young children may need supervision or assistance during play.
- The Power-Up Band is intended for interactive activity within SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™; however, it can also be used as an amiibo™ with the Nintendo Switch™. Please visit amiibo.com for instructions on how to sync with your Nintendo Switch™.
- Power-Up Band is not compatible with the Nintendo 3DS™ series and Wii U™.
- Don’t use the Power-Up Band for any purposes other than the above – misuse may damage band function or appearance.
Using Your Band
Your Power-Up Band™ enables you to collect digital stamps and coins, complete Key Challenges, track your score on the Mario Kart™: Bowser’s Challenge ride, and more throughout SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™.
- Once buckled up on Mario Kart™: Bowser's Challenge, tap your Power-Up Band on the steering wheel to keep track of your score as you ride – and play – the attraction.
- Collect digital keys with your Power-Up Band by winning Key Challenges found throughout the land: Goomba Crazy Crank, Koopa Troopa POWer Punch, Piranha Plant Nap Mishap, Thwomp Panel Panic.
- Collect at least three of the four keys to unlock the final challenge and enter Bowser Jr.’s hideout to play the Bowser Jr. Shadow Showdown.
- Punch Blocks throughout the land using your Power-Up Band to collect digital coins and stamps.
- When you meet Mario, Luigi, or Princess Peach in SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™ while wearing your Power-Up Band you may receive an enhanced experience.
- Track your score by visiting a checkpoint in the land or in the Universal Studios Hollywood app.
- Using the app, keep track of your family’s, friends’ and team’s scores throughout the day.
