At the Audition
1. What do I do with my personal belongings at the audition?
At the audition please always keep your belongings with you. When you enter the audition room please place your belongings in the back of the room. Also, please remember to silence all cell phones when entering the audition room.
2. Who will be on the audition panel?
The audition panel will consist of members of Entertainment management and a show director if applicable. A choreographer may be present for dance auditions.
3. What does it mean to be an AGVA covered role?
Many of our performance roles are covered under the terms and conditions of a collective bargaining agreement with the American Guild of Variety Artists, also known as AGVA. If you are hired into a position that is AGVA covered you will be required to pay union dues while working in the position.
4. How much time should I allot for my audition?
Every audition is different but generally we try to follow the following timelines. Dancer auditions traditionally last between 2-3 hours since you will have to learn choreography and then perform it. Cartoon Character auditions also traditionally last 2-3 hours if you make it to final steps due to the fitting process. For all other auditions, best attempts are made to keep the process less than 1 hour. The length of callbacks vary, but should not be longer than 3-4 hours.
5. I received a golden ticket at the audition. Does this mean that I am cast?
A golden ticket is not an offer of employment but it does mean that you are a finalist. We will contact you after final casting decisions if you are cast.
